My passion to be involved has presented me with many opportunities to serve on boards, commission and advisory boards. I have served as Chair for the San Leandro Recreation and Parks Commission, Vice President of Community Education for the Executive Board of the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Community Education Foundation, participant of the Blue Ribbon Committee, Cherry Festival Committee, Sausage & Subs Committee, and the Aquatics Task Force. I am also a proud graduate of Leadership San Leandro.

Raising my four children in San Leandro has provided me additional opportunities to be actively involved in the community. My involvement includes President of the Washington Manor Swim Team, Past President and current Meet Director of the East Bay Swim League, Past President of Washington Manor PTA, and Board of Director for Washington Manor Little League. I have served on the School Site Council for Washington Manor School and am currently on the SRC for Arroyo High School. I have also, coached girls' 5th - 8th grade basketball at Washington Manor School for over 10 years and coached girls' soccer through SACYSL. I am also a member of Friends of San Leandro Creek the San Leandro Historic Society, Inc., Sierra Club, League of Women Voters, and Emily's List.

I have lived in San Leandro for over 23 years as an active member of the community. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and am currently enrolled in a Masters Program at CSUEB. I am currently employed as VP of Operations for a small business in San Leandro.
