County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor; County of Sonoma

My record of service is unmatched. My career began in the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office over 33 years ago. I have been Division Chief for 26 years, and was appointed Assistant Department Head by retiring County Clerk/Recorder/Assessor, Eeve Lewis.

As a recognized expert in State election law and Director for the California Association of Clerks and Election Officials, I frequently testify before the State Legislature.

I was born and raised in Santa Rosa, attending Lewis and Roseland elementary schools, Lawrence Cook Junior High School and Santa Rosa High School. I have two grown children, Jesse and Jordan Atkinson, who attended school in Sebastopol, both graduating from Analy High School. Jesse graduated from University of the Pacific in Stockton, and Jordan graduated from Empire College. I currently reside in Cloverdale.

I'm a proud fourth generation public servant, following my father, Lee Formway (Santa Rosa Police Sergeant), grandfather Vernon Silvershield (Sonoma County Coroner/Public Administrator) and great-grandfather, Henry Silvershield (Santa Rosa City Assessor).
