Candidate statement of qualifications

When I took office as your County Clerk-Recorder twelve years ago, I pledged to continue to enhance this office's fine reputation for public service, and with the help of a terrific staff, I believe I have honored that commitment.

Our Department's functions include conducting major elections, reviewing and recording complex legal and land title documentation, and issuing marriage licenses, to name a few. If you have not had personal experience with our office, please confirm with others who have that we have demonstrated professionalism and courtesy in performing these important tasks.

Because our office touches so many lives, the knowledge and experience of your County Clerk-Recorder is critical to maintaining the high quality of service this office provides. I have implemented many technological advances and am committed to continuing to expand our services through such advances while making certain we remain "user-friendly".

While I have been proud to serve as your Clerk-Recorder, I believe that incumbency is not a right but rather a privilege to request evaluation of my performance.
