Questions & Answers

1. What experience or training do you have which would help the District meet its goals?

Larry has over 30 years of surface and groundwater management experience. Prior to joining the board, he served the community as watermaster, hydrographer, water operations supervisor and groundwater monitoring superintendent. Currently serving as Chair the Board of Directors for the second time.

2. What is your evaluation of the financial condition of the District?

In spite of the unreliability of state and federal funding, the District is in good condition and is able to fulfill its mission.

3. In what ways would you collaborate with other governmental entities to achieve the District's goals?

As a Board member, I recognize that our most successful goals are reached thru collaborative efforts such as the Water Resources Protection Collaborative, the Guadalupe River downtown flood control project, storm water run off permits, the the county wide habitat protection planning study, and trails and open space developement.

In addition to these types of county wide activities, we must collaborate on regional water planning with the surrounding counties.
