Biography of John Michael Candeias

I was born in San Jose and I went to school in San Jose. My completely public education was very good, I was able to start taking calculus classes at San Jose State University in the 10th grade. After high school I enrolled at San Jose State University majoring in aerospace engineering.

My general education was very beneficial to me, I took political science classes and history classes mostly. Through these classes I have learned a great deal about the history of women in the United States and Europe as well as the political process and international relations.

Half-way through college I realized I also wanted a mechanical engineering degree. So I took 20 and 21 units my final year and graduated in December 2004 with two bachelor degrees. Then I applied and got accepted to the graduate program at Santa Clara University and San Jose State University. Currently, I am a double graduate student working two part time jobs one of which is substitute teacher.

I am scheduled to graduate from San Jose State University in December of 2006 and if elected I will quit my jobs to devote a minimum of 40 hours per week to the job of being mayor of this great city.

Because I am not collecting money for this campaign, I will only have the people of San Jose to work hard for. Fixing roads, decreasing violence, and improving education are just some of the things I will work hard to accomplish. If necesary I will cut the salaries of politicians, including myself, to help accomplish these things. With the peoples consent, I will also do everything in my power to bring the Capital of California back to San Jose! In short, I want to be the peoples mayor.
