Sacramento County, CA | June 6, 2006 Election |
The importance of this electionBy Richard R. WakeCandidate for Member, Democratic Party County Central Committee; County of Sacramento; State Assembly District 5 | |

We are at a crossroads in the Democratic party. This country and our state are in danger of losing many of our cherished rights as citizens. We must defeat Arnold Schwarznegger and his anti-union, pro business ideology. We must regain control of the U.S Congress in order to stop George Bush from continuing the war in Iraq, taking away the right to choose and so many other of our rights that many of us seem to have forgotten about. We need to elect Democrats to all the State Constitutional offices Lt. Governor to the Board of Equalization. Here in Sacramento, we must defeat the likes of John Doolittle and send a message that politics of big money and corruption are purged from our Congress. We need to elect Democrats at all levels of government. I urge all Democrats to volunteer and get involved. Walk a precinct, phone bank, donate money if you are able, register voters, get out the vote on election day and lets send these folks packing. Our future depends on it I have been on the Sacramento County Democratic Central Committee since 1992. I bring experience and enthusiasm to make sure Democrats in the 5th Assembly District are represented as they should be. I would appreciate your support on June 6th. Sincerely, Richard Wake |
