About Nancy

As an experienced attorney, I have served as arbitrator and mediator settling numerous million dollar disputes and earning the respect of opposing parties and their attorneys. I have litigated complex civil cases and general law matters. While serving as a law clerk in the District Attorney's homicide unit I saw the devastating effects of felony crimes on victims and their families.

I developed Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect teams for two major teaching hospitals and assisted many victims of violent crimes in the use of the Victims of Violent Crimes program. I also have served as an expert and percipient witness for the prosecution in numerous criminal court proceedings.

Prior to practicing law and nearly 20 years ago, I was instrumental in securing the arrest and conviction of a high school teacher who ually molested his female students for nearly ten years. When school administration and local law enforcement were unable to protect our students, I was able to secure his removal from the classroom and end his access to students by getting his teaching credential revoked before his conviction and incarceration.

I hold JD, MA & BA degrees and am admitted to all courts in California and the Washington, DC Board of Contract appeals. As a former educator I taught graduate students at several universities. For the past eight years I have proudly served as an elected college trustee making many improvements in our education system. I was able to assist in dramatically changing the college district's financial status from "financial watch list" to one with healthy reserves and self-funded capital improvements--all without additional taxes.

Nearly 100 individuals, including attorneys, former prosecutors and police/sheriff officers have endorsed my candidacy. I am proud to have the endorsement of Ron Robinson, President of the Young America's Foundation in Washington, DC as well as attorneys in numerous cities including San Clemente, Santa Ana, Irvine, Dana Point, and Los Angeles.

I am a strong believer in being tough on crime and have the endorsements of deputy sheriffs and current and former city police officers.

I care about maintaining the integrity, fairness and respect of our judicial system.

I am a member of numerous professional and community groups and have been selected as an appointee to local governmental committees. As a 25 year resident of Orange County, my family and I enjoy with you all the many benefits of our great county.

Congressman Ed Royce is one of several elected officials who have endorsed Nancy Padberg.

It would be my honor to earn your vote for Judge of the Superior Court.

Sincerely, Nancy

Padberg for Judge * ID# 1284289 * P.O. Box 4338 San Clemente, CA 92673 * Fax: (949) 388-7775
