MARK LEYES - Candidate for Orange County Republican Party Central Committee, 68th Assembly District.

I am a conservative Republican and served as Orange County Co-Chair for Rescue California: Recall Gray Davis in 2003. I worked hard to recall Davis and I was on Arnold Schwarzenegger's Orange County Leadership Action Team as the Taxpayers/Small Business representative.

I'm an Orange County native. My wife of 16 years, Wanda, and I are active in our church and community. I share the traditional values so desperately needed in our elected officials.

Although the Recall of Gray Davis was successful, the Rescue of California has just begun.

We must Rescue Small Business owners from oppressive regulations and taxes. Especially important is to reform the Workers Compensation system.

We must Rescue Homeowners by restoring property rights and promoting home ownership.

We must Rescue Families by standing up to the liberals who would promote gay marriage and denigrate traditional family values.

We must Rescue Taxpayers by providing vital tax relief and bringing fiscal sanity back to State Government. California must live within its means. We can balance the budget without raising taxes!

We must Rescue California from the liberal special interests and trial lawyers who have a stranglehold on state government. The spending lobby has a vested interest in growing government programs and soaking taxpayers - It must come to an end!

As a member of the Central Committee, I will represent you - not a group or special interest.
