Housing, Education, Infrastructure, and Traffic

By James Joaquin Morrison

Candidate for Council Member; City of San Diego; District 2

This information is provided by the candidate
Quality of life and economic impact on residents and businesses.
We must build affordable downtown high rise condominiums and apartments. They are imperative to insure lower rents and housing prices throughout San Diego, and to address the needs of residents and employer costs in the region, as well as preserving our neighborhoods and precious backcountry.

After school tutoring programs, seniors tutoring grades 1 through 12 and college, for property tax discounts. Teachers aides, college students would receive college credits for their time.

We must build and repair the infrastructure, everything from rail lines to the east, port of entry at Tijuana International airport, cargo piers and cranes for San Diego bay, trade Lindbergh field for Miramar Marine Corps Air Station for the safety of air passengers, libraries, streets, sidewalks, and water pipes.

We need to move people, homeowners and apartment renters closer to work through economic incentives, use a portion of the freeway building budget for this home owner, renter and employer program.
