  • Assistant Comptroller, Space & Missile Systems Organization, $1.5 billion budget. Cost schedule/accounting. Mgt Info Systems. Cost Analysis.
  • Director of Advanced Space Development, staff of 105 engineers/scientists with 30 aeropace firms under contract, $80 million annual budget.
  • Policy Officer, 130,000 person organization. METLIFE, Financial Services. Small Business experience.
Top Priorities if Elected
  • Solve underfunding of current defined benefits pension/medical system. For future employees, promote a defined contributions system.
  • Assist transition to strong-mayor govt. As finances permit and creditworthiness returns, upgrade infrastructure such as sewers, police and fire.
  • Push for joint-use of Miramar to relieve pressure on Lindbergh Field. Plan a trolley extension from South Runway/Terminal to downtown.

Recently, I was explaining to a leading citizen why I thought I was qualified to be a City Councilman. He said my background sounded like the American Dream, and urged me to tell the story. This is that story.
