Restoring Fiscal Integrity to City Hall

San Diegans deserve real accountability from City Hall: a balanced budget, open books, and pensions we can afford. We need to cut waste in city government, not important services. I will work to streamline government and cut waste so we can spend every dollar necessary for police and fire protection, parks and after-school programs.

Reforming City Hall

We to change the way politicians do business at City Hall. I support monthly nonpartisan, public updates on the state of the city's financial condition. I won't support secret, closed door meetings at City Hall. And I will vote to enact critical protections for whistleblowers who expose City Hall corruption.

Keeping Our Neighborhoods Safe

Keeping our families safe must be a priority. I support spending every dollar necessary to guarantee the best police and fire protection available.

Preserving Our Parks, Bays and Beaches

As Chairman of the Mission Bay Committee, I uncovered $17 million of bay money that City Hall politicians were using to pay for their overspending and waste. Conserving Mission Bay, our beaches and our parks is one of my top priorities.
