Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Ted W. Freeman

Candidate for
Member, Town Council; Town of San Anselmo

This information is provided by the candidate

Primarily because of the continuing loss of funds to Sacramento, many local services have been cut. I dearly love our town and would like to see these restored. Therefore, to me the crucial issue in this election is the passage of Measure B. Without that additional revenue the town will not be able to restore and maintain acceptable standards of service in the library, fire and police departments.

As your council member I would stand for:

  • improving the Town's infrastructure
  • preserving open space
  • supporting needed workforce housing
  • improving senior services
  • working to reduce traffic congestion on Drake Boulevard
  • resolving parking problems around Drake High School
  • maintaining Park and Recreation services
  • encouraging support of our local merchants.

I would work to allow homeowners to improve their property while protecting our charming neighborhoods from overdevelopment. In light of the severe tragedies that have struck New Orleans and elsewhere in recent months, we also need to take a hard look at emergency and evacuation planning.
