2005 Elections
Most counties in California are conducting local elections on November 8, 2005. All registered voters are encouraged to vote "yes" or "no" on eight propositions in a special statewide election.
League of Women Voters organizations supporting local elections are in the process of contacting candidates to ask for their participation. Candidates are contacted after Smart Voter receives and processes official candidate lists from county elections offices. We offer all candidates free web space to help inform voters.
If you are a candidate and have questions, please go to the Smart Voter page for your office and send us a Feedback. Or contact ca-director@smartvoter.org. Candidates may change their web pages until 24 hours before the polls close.
(See Candidate FAQ for more information.)
