Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Al Snook

Candidate for
Member of the State Assembly; District 68

This information is provided by the candidate

My three top priorities are: Education, Health care and Social Security

My first priority is education; our children are tomorrows America.
My district is made up of 57 cultures. Our teachers are stretched to the limit with the resources they now have - this equals dollars verses our children. Dollars can be replaced, however our children cannot. To be competitive in today's world we must provide the resources and technology. We must continue our Head Start programs and preschools for single parents; higher education should be affordable for everyone.
My second priority is health care for everyone, possibly with single payer programs. All citizens' prescription costs must be affordable!
The third priority is affordable housing. We need more adequate homes for the elderly, and low to middle class citizens of California. Housing should be available at a fair price.
In regards to funding of these programs, the only alternative I vision at this time, due to our massive California State budget deficit, would be ballot initiatives.
