We need to keep Morro Bay healthy.

By William "Bill" Peirce

Candidate for Councilmember; City of Morro Bay

This information is provided by the candidate
We are facing some tough budget years. The state government is continuing to raid our treasury. We'll need to make tough decisions.
The State Legislature will continue to raid our property tax dollars and vehicle license fees for the next several years. Morro Bay will be facing some tough budget decisions and I will work to ensure that those decisions are the correct ones.

We will need to increase our revenues from other sources including sales tax and transient occupancy taxes, not to mention doing some significant belt tightening.

We may need to cut some services and possibly reduce our city workforce. We will need to balance our budget and spend your tax dollars as wisely as possible.

I will work to reduce costs without reducing essential services to our residents. I will fight to keep our police and fire departments well trained, properly equipped and responsive to your needs.
