As Professors in Cal Poly's College of Education, we wholeheartedly and enthusiastically endorse Adrienne Dickinson's candidacy for school board member for a number of reasons. First, because of her rich experience as a parent and as an educator, Adrienne can ably represent multiple stakeholder groups, not just one. Second, she is an excellent communicator and collaborator. She has the ability to listen and the skill set necessary to negotiate "win-win" solutions with groups representing diverse points of view. Lastly, as evidenced by the many testimonials we at Cal Poly have received from administrators, fellow teachers and parents, she is an extraordinary advocate for students and an exceptional educational leader.

"Thirty-five years as a professor and administrator at Cal Poly taught me to appreciate Adrienne Dickinson's special contributions in the preparation of students for higher education and to their education in general. Her intelligence and personal experience as teacher, counselor, mother, and patriotic American humanitarian qualifies her a role-model for educators and education at every level."

It is my pleasure to express my faith and belief in Adrienne Dickinson as a candidate for the San Luis Coastal Unified School District Governing Board. I have the dual and distinct pleasure of knowing Adrienne professionally and personally. We worked closely together in Independent Study. Though the accounts of her positive interaction with both students and staff are too numerous to share, suffice it to say, the academic and emotional well-being of her students is/are her number one priority. Adrienne is the consumate advocate. Thank you for this opportunity to (briefly) share about this extraordinary and well-suited candidate. I feel strongly she will, indeed, be an asset to and for your students and Board. I know she is already an active member of your community.
Sincerely, Miss Lindy, Teacher 36 years "Ever with HOPE for and in CELEBRATION of the CHILDREN"
