Tremendous progress has been achieved within the School District under the leadership of Patrick Judd over the last Sixteen Years. Numerous acccomplishments are contained in the full text below that clearly show Patrick Judd's committment to the Children of the Chula Vista Elementary School District and it's community.
"Schools will never be better than the commitments of their communities"

Patrick Judd has a sixteen year commitment to quality education in our community. He has led the fight to make the Chula Vista educational system accountable to the parents and students. An educational system that will teach literacy, mathematical skills, understanding of one's own self in relationship to the community, and encouraging responsibility to serve others are integral parts of the outcomes that should be expected of all students leaving the Chula Vista Elementary School District. Patrick has fostered a continued cooperation with law enforcement, city, and county governmental agencies, as well as, with our students, parents, and members of the community-at-large to create a safe atmosphere in which our children learn, grow and become productive, contributing members of our community. Patrick continues to play a key leadership role in nonprofit organizations that help support before and after school activities for our students.

Our Chula Vista Elementary School District is in its tenth year after a district-wide reorganization that has created a pattern of achievement gains for our students in a curriculum aligned to the California reading, language arts and math standards. Over the last two years our academic achievement record produced county-wide recognition as one of the top five most improved school districts. Customer satisfaction within the School District has improved over the last several years as measured by the Harris Interactive survey results from students, parents and teachers and staff. Patrick Judd has been instrumental in providing the leadership necessary to reduce the centralized administrative overhead costs to the lowest level in the county compared to other school districts. This means that more of our tax dollars goes directly into the classroom to benefit our children. We have very competitive salaries with a beginning teacher starting at $38,341 and our highest paid teachers salaries at $75,172.

Providing an instructional environment that parents, staff and students can be proud of has been a priority during Patrick Judd's sixteen years on the School Board. Fourteen new schools have been built and twenty six of our oldest schools have been modernized. The modernization projects have helped bring equity to our west-side schools by providing the infrastructure that allows technology to be integrated into the curriculum and instructional techniques in each classroom.

Please vote to re-elect Patrick Judd to the Chula Vista Elementary School District Board of Education so he can continue serving the needs of our community children.
