Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Richard M. Burdge

Candidate for
Board Member; Rancho Santa Fe Elementary School District

This information is provided by the candidate

I am a very strong advocate of the public school system. Here at the RSF school district, we are blessed in having the benefits of a public school system delivered in a private school setting. The involvement with the educators of our school by the parents of our children allows an educational experience that is without comparison. My wife and I are raising a family of four children, three of whom attend the RSF school and the youngest will be entering kindergarten next fall. I am running for the school board to help continue our tradition of educational excellence and to specifically help with the search and development of an appropriate second school site to sustain the quality of education we all expect at our school district. The educational experience delivered at the RSF school district has a direct connection with our property values. Our current overcrowding is a challenge that includes not only those of us with children in the school, but the entire community at large. Traffic jams and cross town traffic will only get worse with time. We need to elect people who can assist the present board in fulfilling these goals for the benefit of the entire community.
