Work Experience:

1993 to present: MARY'S GOODSNAILS, personal business.

I raise and sell the Decollate snail. Decollate snails are a biological alternative to poison for control of garden brown snails. I sell at garden shows and through the Internet by mail order. Outreach includes attendance and presentations at Home and Garden shows throughout Southern California as well as educating the public via newspaper articles, television and the Internet.

1984 to 1999: GOURMET GARDENS, family business

My husband and I, together with our three children, farmed 18 acres of gourmet vegetables and sold them at a roadside stand in Twin Oaks Valley. I was responsible for sales to the public and public relations. Personal interactions with our customers and our excellent vegetables gave this business a fine reputation.

1978 to present: OAK-RAY RANCH, family business. Grow, care, and sale of 8 acres of Valencia oranges.

1978 to 1989: SECRETARY/TREASURER OF AGRICULTURAL IRRIGATION SYSTEMS, INC., family business

This was a business where my husband and I designed and sold drip irrigation systems to commercial row crop farmers.
