The rubber hits the road in the classroom between the teacher and our kids. Teachers need the time, material, planning, and communication resources necessary to maximize the instruction of our children.I have seen up close the resource inadequacies in our classrooms. Teachers are professionals who have worked hard for their education credentials and who have spent considerable amounts of their own time and resources honing their skills. Yet more and more they find themselves pulled by multiple forces detracting them from their primary mission: giving an education to our kids. I will focus my energy to ensuring that teachers receive the material and financial resources they need to succeed. I will endeavor to free them of the red-tape that bogs them down and keeps them from their crucial mission of teaching our children. |
