PUTTING ANAHEIM'S CHILDREN FIRST

By David G. "Dave" Vill

Candidate for Board Member; Anaheim City School District

This information is provided by the candidate
Parents, teachers and administrators need to form a partnership to achieve these goals and reach the optimum results.
I am running for the Anaheim City School Board because I want to give back to the community where I have lived for 27 years. I want to help the students and teachers reach the high levels of achievement that existed in this district in the 1960'S. My commitment is to form a partnership with parents, teachers and administrators to achieve these goals together. All three groups need to be included in the decision making process. I shall meet with parents and teachers to listen to their concerns.

Schools where classrooms are shared with 40 children and two teachers must be abolished. Portable classrooms can be purchased now with surplus funds and alleviate the over crowding. Children need recess and more than a 20 minute lunch period.

We need more preschool and language development classes as an above average number of our students enter school without school readiness skills.
