Santa Ana Schools are Failing

Our teachers recently took a 4% pay cut with the promise from the district that their class size would be reduced to 33 students per class; but, we still have classrooms with up to 50 students per class! Source: Orange County Register, Thursday, September 16, 2004

Under current board leadership, the number of failing schools has grown from 20 to 31 in just one school year; that is over 50% of the schools in the entire district. Half the children in the SAUSD are being left behind! Source: California Department of Education
