I am Deborah Vasquez, and I am your candidate for Santa Ana School Board. Who is Deborah Vasquez? I have lived in Santa Ana for nearly 40 years and attended all Santa Ana schools, including Jefferson Elementary, McFadden Intermediate and Saddleback High School.

I attended Santa Ana College and graduated to California State University, Fullerton, where I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. Thereafter, I earned my Juris Doctorate degree from Western State University in 1994 and began my career as a law school professor and proceeded to specialize in the practice of bankruptcy law.

I am proud to serve not only as a Trustee on the Board of the Orange County Hispanic Bar Association; but also, as the Secretary of the American GI Forum, a national based veteran's organization, each of which I have Each of these organizations values the importance of education and I am happy to and has led these groups to stress the importance of quality education for all children and at all levels. Deborah is running for school board because she wants all of the children of Santa Ana to be inspired to succeed in school and be able to obtain higher education.

Why am I running for school board? I am running for school board because I want all of the children in Santa Ana to be inspired to succeed in school and to be able to obtain higher education. I believe that all of our students deserve schools that are safe, schools with well-trained teachers, an administration that is responsive to their needs, and a curriculum that will prepare them not only for the challenges they face everyday; but also, for the challenges they will face in the future.
