Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Jose Solorio

Candidate for
Council Member; City of Santa Ana; Ward 1

This information is provided by the candidate

Hard work makes the difference. As a parent, homeowner, and Council Member, I am proud of what we are accomplishing in our city...crime is down, home values are up, and we're finally seeing new schools being built.

While this progress is good, much remains to be done. As your Council Member, I pledge to continue working hard on issues important to you:

Education: I have worked closely with the Santa Ana School Board to secure good sites for new schools. I will continue to work with our local School Boards, and also partner with Santa Ana College on new academic and job training programs.

Public Safety: Even in tight budget times, public safety must remain a priority. I will support new efforts to keep crime down, fight gangs and tackle graffiti.

Neighborhoods: I led the effort to invest over $20 million in park improvements citywide. We have also funded a number of street and infrastructure projects. In my second term, I will continue to focus on making improvements in more neighborhoods.

I would be honored to serve Santa Ana residents another four years and respectfully ask for your vote. Please contact me at (714) 514-6233 or visit http://www.josesolorio.com with your ideas and comments.
