Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Russell C. Paris

Candidate for
Board Member; Midway City Sanitary District; 4 Year Term

This information is provided by the candidate

Four years ago the voters of Westminster and Midway City re-elected me to continue new leadership to the Midway City Sanitary District Board of Directors. I have always worked hard to make sure your fees for trash and sewer service were not increased. As a result, your fees are still the lowest in Orange County.

Through prudent fiscal management, the District is debt free. We have sufficient reserves to replace trucks and other equipment when required. I have pledged when there is a surplus, it should be used to reduce fees.

Through efficient management, you now have these additional services free:(1) bulky item pickup( refrigerators, stoves, hot water heaters, mattresses, washers, etc); (2) annual Christmas tree pickup; (3) special trash pickup for the elderly and physically impaired.

As a director of the Orange County Integrated Management Commission, I have supported an aggresive solid waste program so that the city would not be fined.
