Experience Counts

By Jim Moreno

Candidate for Member, City Council; City of Huntington Beach

This information is provided by the candidate
Why you should elect a city council member the same way you hire an employee: look at their education, experience and vision.
I am Jim Moreno and when you vote for me you will get 35 years of government and municipal experience with graduate education and training in administration.

I am a 16 year resident of Huntington Beach and my children have all enjoyed the resources of this great city. I share your concern about the fiscal management and future of our city and I want to serve as your next city councilmember by listening and working with you, the citizens of Huntington Beach.

My priorities are public safety, the city budget, healthy beaches, public health, environmental issues, youth and senior programs, small business development and smart growth in our city. I want strong neighborhoods, a vibrant downtown business district, and I want everyone to share in the City's success.

I have a great concern about the current West Nile Virus and the many miles of flood channels that wind through our city. As your councilmember I will work closely with county and state agencies to protect our residents.

My pledge is to work with you and council members to prioritize spending, balance the budget and challenge Sacramento to get back our share of taxes.

I am Jim Moreno and you are my special interest. I will support you in Huntington Beach. Visit my website at http://www.moreno4surfcity.com to learn more about me.
