I am a registered Republican, but have voted for a Democrat on occasion when I thought they were the best candidate. My key focuses in life are my Christian faith and my family, and I vote accordingly. Eighteen months ago I was appointed to serve on the BOUSD School Board. My sole purpose in applying then and running now is to serve my community and insure the continued excellence in education that Brea is known for. During my short tenure, the board has done much to improve community communication through use of email, newsletters, and community forums. While great improvements have been made, communication continues to be one of my high priorities. Attracting and retaining strong employees must be a priority for us. This a tough goal in light of the district budget challenges. Strong communication in the community, with the teacher's association, and with outside resources must continue in order to achieve success. In addition, new areas of revenue need to be considered to make BOUSD financially strong for years to come. I have no further political aspirations.
