NIKAN KHATIBI graduated with honors from the University of California at Irvine, majoring in Biological Sciences. As a highly respected community advocate, Mr. Khatibi founded and, in the 2002, led an organization, Students For Success, whose sole purpose is to encourage and assist students to attend universities and graduate schools through seminars, workshops, student networking and mentorship.Mr. Khatibi envisions his role on the Laguna Niguel City Council as that of a passionate advocate for the community. By engaging Laguna Niguel citizens through community forums and enhanced technological resources, he looks forward to increasing public awareness of the challenges and opportunities we face locally and regionally, and expanding citizen participation in civic and municipal activities. A strong believer in collaboration and partnership, Mr. Khatibi works hard to bring civic, educational, and business entities together to better meet the needs of Laguna Niguel's diverse and growing community. Moreover, he strongly believes in the participation of each and every senior citizen and supports all activities and involvements in the community.In addition to his professional duties, Mr. Khatibi is involved with numerous community organizations and contributes countless hours to various civic activities including:
