Huntington Beach faces serious issues that demand qualified leaders in government. Our council must create opportunities for economic growth, protect our environment and keep neighborhoods safe and desirable.

I respectfully ask that you choose Don Hansen for City Council. These are my objectives:

Our Budget

We must build our revenue base. Run down strip malls should be replaced with destinations we can be proud to visit A stronger budget will fix our infrastructure and keep our city well maintained. The residents of this great city do not deserve weed infested intersections, buckling sidewalks and dangerous roads. As a member of the Finance Board and Public Works Commission, I have already been working on these issues.

Our Integrity

We need a leader who represents what is right in Huntington Beach - not what is wrong. Resignations and scandals should not be associated with Huntington Beach. Our community does not deserve leaders who make news by breaking the law or violating the public trust. I will hold myself to the highest standard and be accountable for my actions. Your trust in me will not be betrayed and I will work hard to ensure our City Council maintains your confidence.

Our Family Experience

We live in Huntington Beach because of the safety and amenities our community offers. My family is growing this year, and my priority is to ensure our children live in neighborhoods that value respect for others, faith and community service. Our community is a proud collection of neighborhoods that work hard and care about our families and our future. Our council should promote these ideals and I will ensure that these important issues always have an advocate.
