A Deputy Sheriff - Not A Politician

By Allen Michael Castellano

Candidate for Member, City Council; City of Yorba Linda

With a strong sense of community, education and experience, I am poised to lead Yorba Linda into the future
Dear Yorba Linda Citizen,

Four years ago, you elected me to the City Council to make some changes. At that time, our city was in turmoil. We had lawsuits, mistrust and very destructive politics.

Now, four years later, citizen trust and integrity has been restored in City Hall. City business is now being conducted in a professional manner. With the help of my fellow City Council members and strong support from the community, we are putting Yorba Linda back on track and living up to our reputation as the "Land of Gracious Living."

I am proud of our many accomplishments:

  • Crime continues to drop and we are one of the safest cities in Orange County.
  • Old and costly lawsuits have been settled and we are about to break ground on our long awaited Yorba Linda High School.
  • The Town Center Master Plan has become a reality and will restore our historic Main Street, while bringing new business and retail opportunities to our community.
  • Parks, trails, and open space remain a priority. Median landscaping, street maintenance and road repair are part of a regular program of asset protection.

In summary, I am a Deputy Sheriff - not a politician. My wife Laura and I have lived in Yorba Linda for the past 10 years. We have two young daughters, Jessica and Amy, who both attend Travis Ranch Elementary school and are active in local sports. My family and my community are the reasons that I ran for City Council; and for those reasons, I am seeking a second term.

I have received many endorsements for my re-election campaign, a few of which include: the Brea Police Officers Association, Orange County Sheriff Michael Carona, Orange County Fire Authority, and many elected officials and organizations. With a strong sense of community (Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff), education (Master's Degree in Public Administration) and experience (Current Yorba Linda City Councilman), I am poised to lead Yorba Linda into the future.

If you agree with me, I would appreciate your vote on November 2nd. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Allen Michael Castellano, Yorba Linda City Councilman
