Member, City Council; City of Fountain Valley

Hello! My name is Michelle Boden and I am 46 years old. I have been married to my husband, Dana Boden, for the past 11 years. I am the mother of 2 lovely young ladies named Tara, 21 and Stephanie, 20, as well as step-mother to a wonderful young man by the name of Matt, 26. I was born in Long Beach and moved to Huntington Beach in my early 20's. As a family, we moved to Fountain Valley in 1993 and have enjoyed living in this beautiful city for 11 years now.

In addition to being a wife & mother, I have held a full-time job in the transportation & logistics industry for the last 25 years. During this time, I have developed valuable business & management skills that I believe are easily transferable to community business.

Regarding my background - I understand both labor and management. I was a union worker for several years and then transitioned into management, culminating with my most recent executive positions of Asst. Vice President of both Operations and now Sales for "K" Line America, Inc. - a $6 billion transportation company, for whom I've worked for the last 15 years.

Today, I help determine sales & operating policy and currently manage all sales activity in Southern California. I negotiate contracts with customers, am responsible for preparing & managing budgets, have designed and implemented successful cost savings programs, as well as having managed "K" Line's "day-to-day" west coast operations for several of those years.

I'm willing to volunteer my time, as well as the business skills I've accumulated over the last 25 years, to help keep the city we live in vibrant, well managed and a "Nice Place To Live" for the next 4 years.
