Candidate for Director; El Dorado Hills Community Services District

This information is provided by the candidate
Four years on the Los Gatos Parks Commission and over 45 years business experience including founding and operating nine high technology companies in Silicon Valley, Frankfurt Germany and Singapore.
My last company had disributors in 44 countries, and I traveled to most of them to learn their business practices and educational systems. Experienced in long range planning, fiscal management, budgeting, employee/customer/vendor relations and contract negotiations. Supposedly I am retired, but in addition to being a Director of the CSD for the past 4 1/2 years, I have been Chairman of the EDH Area Planning Advisory Committee (APAC) since 2000, Chairman of the EDH Town Center Owners Association and Design Review Committee, and a member of the EDH Community Council, EDH Chamber of Commerce, Villadoro DRC and EDH Incorporation Committee. I just joined the newly formed EDH Coalition - which includes Federal, State and local organizations and individuals working to reduce alcohol, tobacco and drug abuse in our children. The goal of the Coalition is to raise $400,000 in Federal grants over the next three years for the EDH Teen Center and teen activities. According to the California Department of Health Services the number one deterrent to substance abuse in children is sports activities. I am on the Board of Directors of EDH Rotary and was instrumental in Rotary pledging $105,000 to the Teen Center, and am a member of Gold Country Branch of the Sons in Retirement. Also, I am a home builder in the Promontory.
