David M. Trapani - El Dorado Hills resident and business owner. Mr. Trapani is a lawyer who handles real estate, construction and business cases.

He is the lawyer who successfully prevailed at trial against the El Dorado Hills Community Services District in defense of the "Yellow House".

Mr. Trapani is married and lives with his wife Teresa and three children, Michael (13), Danielle (11) and Kyle (9). The children all attend public schools in El Dorado Hills. The children have been active in El Dorado Hills sports, including basketball, baseball, soccer and gymnastics. Mr. Trapani previously spent 3 years as a coach for Little League Baseball and Soccer leagues.

Mr. Trapani is very involved in both El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce and El Dorado Hills Rotary Club, having worked at, sponsored or participated in such events as the Serrano Golf Tournament, Casino Nite, chamber luncheons and mixers. For Rotary Club, Mr. Trapani has been involved in volunteering for the annual Holiday Food Drive in support of the El Dorado County Food Bank providing less fortunate persons with needed foodstuffs during the Holidays, the smoke detector program helping people update or change their smoke detectors, the community clean-up (cleaning up El Dorado Hill's streets, roads and roadsides from debris and garbage), the annual Crab Feed and Wine at Serrano. Mr. Trapani also contributes to the Polio Relief Fund through Rotary Club. Mr. Trapani is a contributing author to the local newspaper Village Life where he writes and publishes real estate law and related articles for public information.

Mr. Trapani favors Measure "F" which will raise additional money for the El Dorado Hills library, which is sorely needed in our community. This Measure will remedy an oversight in the original Measure which allowed the library by having apartment building owners pay $25 per year per apartment unit towards the library, just as each homeowner in El Dorado Hills will pay. Currently, the apartment owners are only obligated to pay $25.00 per year for the entire apartment complex. This will make the assessment equitable for all and will provide approx. $100,000.00 additional for the library which may be used for more books, computers, etc. for all ages.

Mr. Trapani is concerned about crime in our growing community. He has met with El Dorado County Sheriff Neves about the prospect for a full-scale Sheriff's Office in El Dorado Hills (instead the 2 person part-time satellite office there currently). Sheriff Neves appears to be in favor of this and Mr. Trapani supports additional law enforcement for the safety of our children and families. He has also met with County Supervisor Rusty Dupray and EID (water board) director Harry Norris to discuss the issues. He also has plans to meet with Supervisor Helen Bauman.

After the experience with the El Dorado Hills CSD Board's "needless harassment" of the homeowner's in the "Yellow House" case (as declared by the Superior Court), Mr. Trapani wishes to bring balance and fairness back to the C, C & R enforcement system. In his legal practice he has witnessed what appear to be further issues and wishes to bring positive change to the community.

Mr. Trapani favors more sporting fields and recreation areas in El Dorado Hills and reasonable use and planning of such facilities; planning should involve the entire community and all interests in the community. All of the competing interests should be heard and reasonably balanced.

Mr. Trapani favors a senior center and teen center in El Dorado Hills.

He also favors more roads / less traffic congestion during this time of dynamic growth in our community.
