Basics

By Ted Long

Candidate for City Council Member; City of South Lake Tahoe

This information is provided by the candidate
Our city is out of control, we need to return to basic services. Police, fire, streets. Get our budget balanced
My first priority is to return to the residents real confidence in city governement. Every where I go I hear the question, "Where does the money go ?" I will return accountability to our city. My recent term on the Grand Jury allowed me to study in detail the operations of government and the recent redevelopment project. With the benefit of "hind sight" I can and will return our city to a financial soundness and a bright furture. I want to see our business community grow and prosper, to accopmplish this, I will work with the business communtiy for better promotion and exposure. I will draw upon my years of business experience to set a postive course. This is not a time for on the job training, we need the best. I have managed large staffs and million dollar payrolls. I have done serious labor negioations and set multi million dollar budgets. This is not a time for common sense but for extroordinary sense, not a time for a "vision of leadership", but real leadership. If you vote for me you will be proud that you did. Ted Long
