Advocacy for working families

As an alternate to the San Diego County Democratic Central Committee, Brian has been the leading advocate for the local party's support for organized labor and working families. Brian pledges to continue that advocacy as a full delegate to the Central Committee. That advocacy includes dedication to a living wage, health care for all, and decent working conditions for all.

Civil rights and equality for all

Brian is dedicated to equal rights for all, regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Brian has pursued this dedication in all of his work in labor and in the LGBT community, as well as through support of feminism and organizations advocating for equality for people of color.

Safe and clean environment and planet

Brian is a life-long advocate for a clean environment and planet and is a supporter of the Sierra Club and the Environmental Health Coaltion. He combines that commitment with a commitment to a more peaceful and safer world, one that is devoted to human needs and those of the planet, rather than to destruction.
