Denis C. Grasska was born 22 years ago in the very district that he now seeks to represent. A product of San Diego elementary and high school education, he graduated summa cum laude from the University of San Diego in May 2003.

After graduating with a degree in Communication Studies, Denis has worked as a journalist and public relations practitioner in the San Diego area. He has written for "USD Magazine" (the quarterly alumni magazine of his alma mater) and "The Alcala View." He now writes freelance for "The Southern Cross," the official newspaper of the Catholic Diocese of San Diego.

A lifelong Republican and member of several Republican and conservative organizations, Denis believes that this is a defining moment for the Republican Party. In recent years, the GOP has compromised its firm positions on abortion, gun control and immigration and has often done so for the sake of political expediency. If elected, Denis will fight for principled conservatism.
