Ryan is a native, and third generation resident, of the River City. After graduating from Encina High School, Ryan went on to earn a Bachelor degree in Government, with additional coursework in Environmental Science and Business Administration, from the California State University, Sacramento.

Ryan began his career as an Intelligence Security Specialist, based in Washington D.C., with the United States Navy. He later returned to Sacramento and has served as a computer specialist with the California Department of Aging before moving into a management role with the California Highway Patrol. He currently holds a senior management position in the Office of the State Information Security Officer for California.

Ryan serves on the Board of Directors of the California Association of Information Technology Managers and was a political consultant to the California Senior Legislature, Assembly Sub-Committee on Business, Housing, and Transportation.

Ryan's passion is to be the people's voice for North Sacramento, solving community issues, and advocating for the District. His experience with business, technology, and government gives him a broad perspective on the unique challenges and opportunities in North Sacramento, allowing him to capitalize on the district's rich history and untapped potential.
