Four years ago, I was honored when El Dorado County voters elected me to serve on the Board of Supervisors.

Since then, I've been working to undo the damage caused by poorly planned development.

As County Supervisor, I've raised fees on developers so they pay more to fix the traffic problems caused by growth. I've also imposed tighter restrictions on proposed projects.

I've also reformed the county's budget process to give taxpayers the right to review and comment on county spending.

I've demanded that tax dollars be carefully invested in services that benefit taxpayers. I've secured funding for local road improvements, a new library, training and equipment for local firefighters, a new senior center, a local bookmobile, and programs to protect children, seniors and our quality of life -- without new taxes.

When I asked for your vote four years ago, I promised to fight unplanned growth and reckless county spending. I've worked hard to keep this important promise. I urge you to review my record and see if you agree.
