My family was drawn to Larkspur because of its small town character. Raised in Marin, I want to preserve and enhance our quality of life. As parents of two young children, my husband and I are striving to create a better community.

Among other issues, I am concerned about the impact of proposed large developments, including CLASP/Niven Nursery and Larkspur Landing area projects. These will have lasting impacts on traffic and our neighborhoods; there must be a balance between quality of life and economic needs without undue negative impact on either.

My professional background reflects extensive experience evaluating opposing viewpoints, understanding fiscal issues and resolving disputes in an equitable manner. Recently I was an effective neighborhood advocate, successfully organizing opposition to proposed developments that were too large, out-of-character with the neighborhood, and that defied Larkspur's ordinances. Once the proposals were defeated, I fought to prevent zoning amendments, which, if passed, would have enabled such proposals.

The voice of our neighborhoods must be heard as we plan for the future.

When elected, I will also work to enhance public safety, our library and recreational services. Contact me at rejlpo@msn.com.
