Allegations in a recent TVIC newsletter are FALSE AND MISLEADING. VOTERS NEED TO KNOW THE FACTS!

While Judy Chapman has served on the Board, the TCSD has...

· Achieved balanced budgets over the past 12 years and without rate increases the last 3 years, despite rising costs and inflation

· Retained in-house garbage collection, instead of paying higher outsourced rates

· Completed 10-year Capital Improvement Plan for sewer system

- first section constructed in the Fall 2003

- new pump station, main and laterals on Flamingo Road

· Negotiated new contract for better sewage treatment rates at Sausalito-Marin City Sanitary District and currently exploring ways to further reduce long-term costs

· Approved funding and total renovation of the Tam Valley Community Center and approved current building upgrades, including landscaping

· Obtained Special Districts Award for Recycling Program

- new blue single-stream cans and green cans

· Initiated Master Plan process for District parks and obtained funding for improvements for Kay Park

· Obtained competitive State grant funds for Parks and Recreation

· Held salaries and labor costs in-line with, or less than, those of other districts

· Received successful independent financial audits every year

· Changed workers' comp insurance for significant cost savings

· Supported community events such as Rhubarb Review, ice cream socials, annual Arts & Crafts Fairs, golf tournament, movie nights, picnics and other events

· Improved TCSD Newsletter

· Minimized expenses on legal matters; initiated no litigation during Judy's tenure

· Supported Gateway Coalition which is a TCSD committee that works with the County, GGNRA, Caltrans, and other agencies to advise on transportation, trails, and beautification of the area
