No Tax increases - Absolutely, positively, none (even disguised ones proposed).

By Ralph A. Hernandez

Candidate for Recall of Gray Davis; State of California

This information is provided by the candidate
The People are Taxed way too much. More Taxes won't solve our problems. More Taxes means less money in your pockets! I also oppose those that are disguised Taxes. Vote "NO" to any more of these increases. It is time that the State live within its means. More Taxes aren't the answer! I'll fight any Tax increases. I support reducing Taxes (such as the unfair tripling of the Vehicle Licensing fees).
The People of this State, Counties, Cities, Districts, and overall areas, are Taxed way, way too much.

The Politicians want the public to believe that more Taxes will solve our problems, without a concern as to where the public will get the additional money for more Taxes. I oppose all of these unnecessary Taxes, Assessments, etc., as well as those that are disguised to not look like Taxes (even though they are).

The People must say and vote "NO" to any more of these Tax increases. It is time that the State live within its means, just like we all have to do.

If more Taxes were the answer, then why do they claim that the State, Counties, Cities, Districts, etc., are so bad off? The People are being Taxed to the breaking point. We are just about there, and in some cases we are there already!

I'll fight any Tax increases, no matter how much disguising there is to them. I do, and will, support reducing the Tax burden upon the people (such as the unfair tripling of the Vehicle licensing fees). The answer is Tax relief, not Tax increases!

I know about Taxes and the related Tax restricting laws - such as Prop 13, Prop 62 and Prop 218. I also know about Assessment laws - such as the misused Lighting & Landscaping Assessments (which in many cases is nothing more than disguised Tax increases). I also know about the Gasoline Tax laws (also abused by Politicians). An Elected Official should know these things! Too much abuse and misuse of these Tax and Assessment laws have occurred, with no accountability by those who easily use Taxes and Assessments as their way "out".

Do not let anyone tell you that more is needed. Always vote NO on any Taxes or Assessments proposed. We all must join together and demand our fair share of our taxes from the Federal government (who has used alot of our Tax monies for other States' uses). We are in reality unwillingly providing "Welfare" from our pockets to other States' pockets, while our pockets are being picked clean by their schemes. Nevertheless, we must insist and demand that our State live within its means.

Please, on October 7, 2003, vote for "Ralph A. Hernandez" for Governor.

Please visit the web site ( http://www.acctaxpayers.com/ ) for more information about some of the unfair Taxes and Assessments we're subjected to. I am and have been the Vice-Chair of the volunteer anti-Tax group, the Alliance of Contra Costa Taxpayers. This is but one of several effective anti-Tax and anti-Assessment volunteer groups that I belong to.

(further comments are pending, as time permits).
