Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Douglas Leslie "Doug" Anderson

Candidate for
Recall of Gray Davis; State of California

Illegal Immigration- This is one of my first areas of concern. As we all know 9/11 changed the world. We look at security in a totally different light, it is time you have someone to look at illegal immigration through a Californians eyes and not through the eyes of special interest, political parties, or Unions. I believe it is time for the National Guard to be deployed close to our Border; this will establish a second line of defense and will not interfere with the INS or Border patrol. Currently there are approximately 2.3 million illegal immigrants in California, for us to look at the Federal Government for homeland security we must do our part and stop people from crossing our Borders unchecked.

Driver’s licenses for Illegal Immigrants- NO way should Illegal immigrants receive licenses due to the Motor-Voter Act. If Illegal Immigrants check the box to vote we will never know at that point if they are legal in this State or not. The statement that hit runs will be lower is false. License or not, if illegal they would be deported or their still going to hit and run. You can get insurance just for a month or so for the license then let it expire, then their back to driving illegally but with a license. With them having a valid drivers license they can purchase a handgun.

Car Tax- I WILL ELIMINATE THE TRIPILING OF CAR TAX THAT DAVIS HAS INITIATED. How can anyone that says he is for the people triple a tax on the lowest income class at his prerogative just to balance an exploding budget deficit that he created due to lack of his management.
