Since 1981 David R. Plunkett has been employed as an engineer/facilitator for Northrop Grumman, a self-motivated force of skillful men and women who are focused on being the world's finest airborne systems integration enterprise. The Integrated Systems Sector has the capabilities to design, develop, integrate, produce and support complete systems, airframe subsystems, airborne surveillance and battle management aircraft, airborne electronic warfare aircraft, and air combat aircraft.

David was born in New York in 1959 and after an honorable discharge in 1981 from the United States Navy where he earned his wings serving as a flight engineer, settled in Ventura County. He moved his family to Simi Valley in 1987. After 15 years he decided that he has the ability and desire to serve the city and its residents in a positive manner.

David attended Oxnard College, Moorpark College, University of La Verne, and UCLA extension where he received his Certificate in Engineering in 1998.

Being a Lean advocate he has the proven track record to eliminate unnecessary steps and waste in processes. As well as having excellent organizational and Leadership Skills.

David is married to Christina, and between them they have four children and is currently attending services at Rocky Peak church.
