JOLANDA SCHREURS Age: 46

Occupation: Retired Scientist/Illustrator/Mother

Education and Qualifications:

I believe in: a quality education for all children; that good schools contribute to a community's quality of life; accountability; high standards and open communication.

My professional expertise is in science, project management and graphics. I received my B.S. from Cornell and Ph.D., Pharmacology from Stanford and have 10+ years Bay Area biotech experience as a Senior Scientist, Department Supervisor, and Project Manager. My husband, Ken Dill, is UCSF Professor. We have resided 19 years on the Coastside. Our two children attend HMBHS and Farallone View.

Six years ago, I chose to stay home with my children and devote my time and talents towards constructively and systematically improving our coastside schools. A strong record of involvement and results speaks for itself: Co-Chair of the successful $35,000,000 School Facilities Bond; PTA President; Cunha Site Council Chair; spearhead, Operation Band-Aid; Member, Back-to-Basics & FV Ed Fund; Committee Member: Technology, GATE, HMBHS Remodelling, Cunha Science Fair, Healthy Star, Fundraising, Grant Writing, etc.
