RICARDO "RICK" GOMEZ Age: 35

Occupation: Businessman

Education and Qualifications: In my professional life, I have trained hundreds of professionals and children on the use of computer applications. From these experiences, I've learned that the phrase, "one-shoe fits all" does not apply to education.

Our goal should be to better educate ourselves to provide the best well-rounded education a student can receive. We should pay greater emphasis on learning how to quickly identify where students are lacking in their educational development and be able to provide the necessary training to supplement their need.

I believe, that it takes a village to raise a child. I will strive to involve a greater number of people in school district issues. Communication between everyone will be improved!

Growing up in SSF and going through the public school system, I believe we have some of the most caring teachers in the Bay Area. Yet these same individuals are amongst the lowest paid educators in the Bay Area. Our teachers are at the core of our education system and we need to care for them.

I believe my life experiences have provided me with unique talents and insight to the school board. Feel free to call me at 650-430-1000 or visit http://www.gomezforschoolboard.com. Thank you!

/s/ Rick Gomez
