Education and Qualifications:

Generations of children have been denied the opportunity to reach their full potential because of the leadership crisis in the Ravenswood City School District. Families send their children to private schools or find ways to get them into neighboring school districts. Students with special needs have been denied critical and timely support. While children study in underfunded classrooms, leaders squander resources on privileges, perks and payments to attorneys. It is time for a change.

As a successful principal in a neighboring school district, I know how to be fiscally responsible and facilitate academic achievement. I began my teaching career in the Ravenswood City School District where I later was promoted to a principal.

My educational background includes the following: MA, Stanford University; MA, San Francisco State University; Teacher Education Program, California State University; BA, University of Washington.

The children and families of our community deserve decision makers who are accountable. I am committed to no-nonsense decision making that does not waste resources that belong in the schools. If I am elected to the School Board, I pledge to be accountable to all of our community so that children have the safe, clean, well-maintained schools of excellence that they deserve.
