Smart Voter Additional Endorsements for Debbie K (Sturgis) Viborg

Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Templeton Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate

My endorsement by the Republican Central Committee is an honor. Since moving to this area 15 years ago, I have become very active in the Republican party. I have been a part of many Campaign committees, including Mike Ryan, Harry Ovitt, and Tom Bordonaro, all of which are close friends as well. I believe that being involved in the process of their campaigns and as a constituent, gave me my very first ideas of running for School Board. They have appreciated my strengths and directness and I have used their wisdom and fairness to guide my way of thinking when I have had doubts or needed information. I am happy to say that I am a Republican even when it isn't popular to say so, and I believe that my common sense, no nonsense attitude makes me capable of making sound and rational decisions based on facts, information and research rather than currect politics.

My campaign Committee was formed when I was approached by Mr. Don Edelman, an extremely intelligent and caring man who sat on our Board for over 20 years. On his heels came Harold Glasco, another long standing past Board Member who believes as I do that it is time to retun to tradtion, and restore the common sense that is needed to make well thought out and informative decisions. Both men have been instrumental in helping to guide me through the campaign process, and have been a wealth of information on Board policies and procedures. Rick Graff is currently on our Board, and I have watched him and his decision making for the past three years. I have been so impressed by his honesty, morality and ethics that I enlisted his help in my campaign. I see in him, the willingness to not always be swayed by the "popular" vote. His heart is with our children and the varied stengths of every child. I am proud to have these three men on my team.
