I Consider It An Honor To Serve A Second Term

By Jim Dickens

Candidate for Councilmember; City of Arroyo Grande

This information is provided by the candidate
As your elected representative for the last four years, I have supported the policies and proposals, which best maintain Arroyo Grande's identity and heritage. I worked hard to protect our limited resources and quality of life. A new General Plan that reflects smarter growth through protection and enhancement of our local businesses, agricultural industry, and quality neighborhoods best represents this accomplishment. I remain committed to these goals and seek re-election to continue representing your voice and your vision.

My family has lived in this community for four generations. It is as important to you and I today, as it was for our great-grandparents, that Arroyo Grande provide a desirable backdrop in which to raise our families.

As a counselor at Arroyo Grande High School, I am also committed to assisting our young people in developing strong personal, academic and occupational qualities and values.

I pledge to protect our prime farmland, our small town community character and our local business community. It is equally important to provide available housing for all income levels. Working for the benefit of all residents continues to be a paramount commitment for me. I would be honored to serve a second term on the Arroyo Grande City Council.
