In 1988, the voters of Poway passed Prop FF. I have seen the City Council try to get around the intent by rezoning property. I have brought to the attention on the City that certain zone changes should be a Prop FF vote.

Small business in the "wrong zone" ie. gas stations, vehicle rental places etc, are being denied a remodel permit because it is in the wrong area of town. If residents are still using these properties, why not let them remodel.

Small business are being forced out by retailers with a larger tax base. Small businesses made Poway what is is. Not larger retail stores.

I came to Poway because of the horses. I have seen the City redo horse trails, to get around development, which makes them longer and more dangerous. Poway is no longer a horse or country town. The Poway Heritage Parade got rid of the horse/western theme.

Without new leadership, the City in the Country will just be another city.
