I passionately believe in and am an advocate of the mission of the community college which Is to prepare students to:

·Transfer to four year colleges or universities and to successfully complete their education ·Acquire essential and relevant skills to productively enter the workforce and benefit our local economies. ·Obtain additional skills for career advancement which in turn benefits local business and industry by providing training for employees ·Or to pursue new interests in their quest for lifelong learning.

As a member of a non-partisan public board I:

·Keep the district focused on learning for students, faculty and staff. ·Advocate for our college community and those It serves ·Commit time and effort to governance responsibilities ·Work to shape consensus and find shared interests among groups and Individuals ·Serve without personal gain
